Douneside house it’s a beautiful place surrounded by an amazing scenery. Stunning gardens that were just georgios made our walks unforgettable.

Certainly a bit pricey for what you get, but still worth the experience.

The setting and atmosphere provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation, complemented by the delicious hand-cut steaks served during dinner. The leisure facilities, including the pool and sauna, were well-maintained and inviting. there were some minor inconveniences such as a lack of variety in breakfast options and occasional delays in service during peak times.

Dining options were superb, highlighted by an afternoon cake and tea service. the separate building we stayed in had limited charm compared to the main area, and the menu was somewhat unconventional at times, which might not appeal to everyone. Nevertheless, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.

The grounds of Douneside House are beautiful and well-kept. I loved the comfortable bed in my room. The historic charm of the building adds a special touch. Enjoyed the breakfast options, especially the cooked-to-order choices. I faced hot water issues both mornings. The staff were polite, but they didn't provide many local dining alternatives when the on-site dining was fully booked. A bit more warmth in guest interaction could enhance the experience.
